RAID Array Size

Always make array smaller then max usable size in the event a drive has to be replaced and is not the exact same size.

Rule:  Subtract 25GB off of every 250GB disk.
Example: RAID 5 with four 250GB disks the array size would be 675GB (225*3)

Invalid Drive When Installing Software

This may happen when you installed the software previously on an external hard drive that has already been removed. The registry keys that point to the installation address may still be present that is why during installation it tries to find the non-existent drive. This would then give you and Invalid Drive error message when Installing Software.

Solution:
All you need to do is make a virtual drive with the letter matching the invalid drive’s.
•Go to command prompt. Click on Run and type CMD and press ok.
•In the command prompt type the command:

Syntax:
Subst (invalid drive letter): (existing drive letter):\
Example:
Subst I: C:\
