Replacing a Failed FreeNAS Disk
- Located the failed disk (Storage - Pools - Pool Status).
- Take the disk offline (Storage - Pools - Pool Status - Offline).
- Physically remove the failed disk from the server. Power down if your hardware doesn't support hot swapping.
- Replace the drive in the existing storage pool (Storage - Pools - Pool Status - Replace). The pool will then begin resilvering.
